Good Morning Everyone!
For reasons which will be apparent, this message is addressed in particular to Roger's fans and friends in the United Kingdom, countries of the British Commonwealth and the Republic of Ireland.
As many of you will have noticed over the years, many worthy nominees have been recognised by Her Majesty The Queen in the annual birthday Honours Lists.
"Our" Roger has not been recognised thus far - and something needs to be done to rectify this omission!
We have already commenced the formal nomination process to the Cabinet Office and are now seeking everyone's help to this end.
We are seeking letters of support outlining in your own words why you believe Roger should be honoured by The Queen. Letters may be as long or short and as detailed as you are comfortable with. It has been suggested that we provide a sample draft, but in reality that would be self defeating. So please, if you have enjoyed Roger these past 40+ do think about supporting this endeavour.
Letters should be addressed to:
Cabinet Office
Honours and Appointments Secretariat
Ground Floor
Admiralty Arch
London SW1A 2WH
and posted to us:
Victoria (Vicky) and Rory McEvoy
33 Ferguson Road
Elliot Lake ON
Canada P5A 1C4
We will be collating and documenting all letters before providing them to the Central Office of the Chancery for Knighthood.
THANK YOU very much in advance!
Vicky and Rory

Hello!
I really do support your idea to get a Knighthood for Roger Whittaker! He has really fully and richly well-deserved that title!
I really do hope that those persons as Roger's fans whos mother language is English would do their best to get a Knighthood for Roger and that those English as their native language speaking fans would each one write their letter and send it to the given post address. My mother languge is Finnish and therefore I believe that I cannot write so skillful letter in English as it is needed. That's why I believe that I'll not write my own letter. I can however maybe change my mind but I am not sure if it will happen. If I would write my letter I should edit and write it better many, many times.
When Roger has gotten the Knighthood, is he called Sir Roger Whittaker? |
