On Monday on the 7th of December now in 2009 I found and bought the following used and in a good condition/shape being c-cassette from a local flea market "Toimitalo" at Ahlström-street 6 in my home town of Pietarsaari ( ---://---.pietarsaari.fi ---://events.pietarsaari.fi ) here in FINLAND ( ---://---.finland.fi ) for 1€. On the label of the c-cassette itself there are years the 1962, 1963 and 1964 that I suppose to be the recording years or the copyright years of this c-cassette. I don't know how rare it is nowadays to find just exactly this compilation as a c-cassette or as a LP-record:

" SETTLE DOWN WITH ROGER WHITTAKER " (Philips c-cassette n:r 7176 018, SONIC SERIES)

and its songs and the songwriters of the songs are the following:

Side 1:

1. " Settle Down" (Settle)
2. " After The Laughter (Came Tears) " (Detroit)
3. " Steel Men " (Martins)
4. " Acre Of Wheat " (Alquist)
5. " Mud Puddle " (Crofford)

Side 2:

1. " The Sinner " (Rother/Parish)
2. " Times Is Tough " (Haningoth/Patrick/Stanton)
3. " Butterfly " (Lowe/Mann)
4. " Santa Anna " (Seeger/Gilbert/Hays/Hellerman)
5. " Jenny's Gone (And I Don't Care) " (Settle/Ribback)

In the spring 2009 in March or in April I found and bought from the same flea market the following LP-compilations of Roger Whittaker:

- " Mexican Whistler - The Dynamic Roger Whittaker " as two (2) different LPs, the other one recorded in the year 1967 (Emi-Regal, SRS 5022) and the other one recorded in the year 1972 (Fontana n:r 6459.201) having different recording companies but having exactly the same pieces, songs and recording (exactly the same Lansdowne Series-recording) but having of course different covers of the LP-records.

- " All Of My Life " (Philips-LP n:r 6318 101) recorded in the year 1974.

P. S.

I feel it is a very important and a very good possibility indeed to be able to edit (and if needed, to delete too) my own messages and my own postings here on this Fan Forum of this Official Website Of Roger Whittaker ( ---://---.rogerwhittaker.com ). Please, don't take away the possibility from the members of this Fan Forum to edit their own messages and postings here on this Fan Forum! Don't wind up this Fan Forum from here! Thank you!

"Santa Anna" seems a very appropriate title at this time of year Smile

Well Chris,

With the terrible weather you're having in the U.K. I think "Times Is Tough" is also appropriate! Exclamation

Thank you! Yes, it's been a little difficult tryimg just to get to and from work this past 7 days. We had a particularly nasty (for England) snow storm on Monday meaning that some of my colleagues took 6 hours to get home (16 miles away). My normal 15 minute journey took about 40 minutes so I was relatively lucky. This evening the rain has started to melt the snow but it's still only just above zero so fingers crossed (I live on a bend on a hill so it's dangerous to venture out on foot or in the car when there is ice about).

Merry Christmas everyone!
